Mission and Research Themes

The main purpose of the Center is to develop and disseminate knowledge about business strategy, entrepreneurship, competitive behavior, organization design and organizational change, as well as corporate governance and executive behavior. Recent research themes also include topics relating to family business strategic advantages and special challenges, characteristics of entrepreneurs, competitive dynamics, top management education and behavior, and executive opportunism.

Director

Danny Miller received his PhD from McGill University. He has held positions at McGill University, Columbia University and the University of Alberta, and is currently Research Professor at HEC Montréal. He has published nearly 200 articles and 7 books, holds several editorships, and serves on numerous editorial boards. He also consults with businesses on strategic, organization design, and managerial succession issues. He is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society and the Family Firm Institute.
